Requirements

Education:

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical college with valid BMDC registration.

Experience:

· At Least 5- 7 Years

· The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Additional Requirements

· Must be proficient in riding motorcycle and have a valid driving license.

· Proficient in computer operation also with Ms. Office Application Program.

· Bangla and English handwriting must be clear and beautiful.

· Age 25 to 35 Years (Age consider is possible for more experienced candidates)

Requirements

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical college with valid BMDC registration.
  • Postgraduate training or qualification in Public Health, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in clinical practice and/or public health programs.
  • Strong understanding of MNCHN, health systems, IPC, and emergency preparedness.
  • Ability to work effectively with government health systems and development partners.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English and Bangla.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Email).
  • Willingness to travel frequently to field locations.
  • Motorcycle driving skill with valid driving license.

Job Context

Project Description:

Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the U.S. Government through the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The project provides strategic technical support and direct service delivery to strengthen Global Health Security (GHS), including outbreak preparedness and response; improve maternal and child health (MCH); and support health systems strengthening (HSS), with a strong focus on supply chain management. Epic is led by FHI 360 and implemented in partnership in seven districts of Bangladesh.

Position Summary

The Technical Coordinator (MBBS) in coordination with FHI 360, will provide overall technical guidance to ensure quality implementation of MNCHN, health security, EMCE, IPC, and emergency preparedness interventions. The role will support evidence-based practices, capacity building of service providers, and alignment with national guidelines and donor standards in collaboration with government counterparts.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Quality Assurance

  • S/he will work closely with hospital management and service providers to strengthen the quality of MNCH and Nutrition care by supporting facility readiness assessments and action planning, improving IPC and WASH practices, strengthening outbreak preparedness and response, integrating EMCE and protective-behaviour messaging into MNCH service areas, promoting clinical mentorship approaches, and supporting the functionality of facility quality improvement (QI) committees.
  • Ensure project activities align with national clinical guidelines, and donor requirements.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives at health facilities, including joint monitoring, supervision, and clinical audits.
  • Provide clinical guidance on complication management, referral systems, and continuity of care.

Capacity Building & Mentorship

  • Support development and delivery of training, mentoring, and simulation-based learning for service providers and frontline workers.
  • Provide on-the-job technical support during field visits, supportive supervision, and review meetings.
  • Strengthen provider competency on emergency response, outbreak preparedness, and risk communication.

Coordination & Government Engagement

  • Coordinate with DGHS, IEDCR, DLS, DAE, and other relevant government health actors on technical matters.
  • Participate in technical working groups, review meetings, and coordination platforms at district and upazila levels.
  • Support integration of project interventions into government systems and platforms.

Monitoring, Learning & Reporting

  • Support monitoring of service quality, clinical indicators, and facility readiness.
  • Contribute to technical sections of donor reports, learning briefs, and documentation of best practices.
  • Use data and field insights to support adaptive programming and quality improvement.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in maternal and newborn care, nutrition, emergency response, or outbreak management programs.
  • Experience providing technical supervision, mentoring, and capacity strengthening for health workers.
  • Familiarity with Government of Bangladesh health policies, guidelines, and reporting systems.
  • Experience working in emergency or outbreak-prone settings.
